I just typed out a whole reply and it's gone. Anyway, I'm using GearPlayer now. No converting, no issues. I paid $119 but well worth it. It's reliable and there are many options such as monitoring FTP sites, setting up work groups (none of which I use). Unlike Expresscribe, this program is mine for life, updates and all. It's the best quality of all the players I've used. Definitely worth the money.
Sorry to hear there are still problems. I filed a BBB report and claim to Paypal. I received my money back via Paypal and have yet to hear from them.
I ended up purchasing GearPlayer which plays ALL files with no converting, no issues. It's a little pricey at $119; however, the quality is UNMATCHED and the best part it's mine. I never have to pay again, ever (unlike Expresscribe). GearPlayer's customer service and tech support is AWESOME and they're in the US! I suggest looking into GP as honestly it is worth it's weight in gold. There are many options with work groups and monitoring FTP sites.
Hi
I have also just tried to renew my licence - desperate to convert these DS2 files. It just keeps stating that the site is being maintained and come back in 15 mins to an hour. I have also emailed them but nothing as yet. Anita
This is a great program, and I have been unable to find any like it. I bought a year license and just renewed last week, paid, haven't received a code. It's been a week and the website promises 24-hour turnaround for code orders. I have tried contacting the company via email and no reply. I have contacted via their website, received no reply, and I have tried calling the company for which the number is "blocked." Thank goodness I paid via Paypal as I will be opening a claim. I would give this program 5 stars, but when a company cannot live up to their promises and I'm paying for a product not received, I'm only giving one star.
Nicole, did you ever receive your license code for this? Our license is about to expire and we are having trouble with the website and contacting the company.
Hi, I have used this program for years and usually renew my licence around this time. For the past three days, however, the website has been down and my emails have gone unanswered. Looking at this thread, it seems there may be a problem at their end.
I really hope not as this is the ONLY program which converts the dreaded DS2 files properly. Switch is useless - it scrambles half the audio and is rubbish.
It is definitely a 5 Star program and I'll be devastated if I can't renew my licence. I can't find it anywhere else.
I really hope I hear from them soon. I've had excellent service in the past for many years.
If you need convert DSS to MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A, AAC on Mac or Windows, you may try iDealshare VideoGo which has both Mac and Windows version.
